A QUALITATIVE MODELING STUDY ABOUT FACTORS AFFECTING ASSESSMENT PREFERENCES OF PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study is to form a qualitative model about the factors affecting assessment preferences of pre-service teachers. This is a case study. The working sample of the study includes 16 pre-service teachers. The relevant data was collected with the interview form developed by the researcher. The Content Analysis method was used to analyze the collected data. Results of the study showed that in the constructed model learning modalities, learning strategies and the conception about learning is more important than passing the course are variables which affects assessment preferences of Pre-service teachers strongly.
