TEACHERS' VIEWS ON THE REALIZATION OF THE SCIENCE ACTIVITIES IN PRESCHOOLS

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of the preschool teachers about the realization of the science studies at the public preschools in Ankara Turkey. Subjects were consisted of 35 preschools and 102 preschool teachers. Data were obtained from questionnaire form prepared by the reseachers. According to the results, preschool teachers indicated that tools and materials are insufficent in their school. Due to these obstacles, preschool teachers tended to use the techniques such as field trip, play and observation which doesn't require complex and expensive tools and materials in science activities.
